6th and 7th grade
Artist, El Anatusi, will inspire this group of students to create a more free-form mandala using recycled chipboard and colored wire. Each student will contribute a segment of the mandala in order to complete a dynamic three-dimensional wall sculpture. Focus will be on the materials will be emphasized as each student will be asked to collect a piece of chipboard from home to use in the artwork. An enduring idea such as strength, endurance, hope, light, freedom, and faith will guide the artistic process and generate meaningful artmaking.
